Born and raised in Petoskey, MI, I graduated from Hillsdale College in 2004, and she graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2008. In 2010, she received a Master in Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with her thesis on "Oral Health Education for Families Enrolled in the WICK Program, An Evaluation." She also completed sub-specialty training in pediatric dentistry, receiving a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.
Dr. Maxwell practiced and taught pediatric dental residents as a clinical lecturer at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry upon graduating in 2010. She had a joint appointment as she also practiced as clinical staff at the Mott Children's Health Center in Flint, MI providing dental care to an under-served population.
Dr. Maxwell has been active in the American Dental Association (ADA), Michigan Dental Association (MDA), American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD).
Born in Royal Oak, MI, and raised in Troy, MI, I graduated from the University of Michigan in 2002 and the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2006. In 2008, she received a Master in Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with her thesis, "General Dentist and Infant Oral Health Exams - An Interventional Study." She also completed sub-specialty training in pediatric dentistry, receiving a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.
Dr. Rastogi practiced and taught pediatric dental residents as a clinical lecturer at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry upon graduating in 2008. She had a joint appointment as she also practiced as clinical staff at the Mott Children's Health Center in Flint, MI providing dental care to an under-served population. She was presented with the Straffon Teaching Award in December 2011.
She has been active in the American Dental Association (ADA), Michigan Dental Association (MDA), American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD).
Dr. Hazle grew up in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. He studied Spanish at Centre College, played tennis, and studied abroad twice in Mexico! He completed dental school at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Hazle now lives in Ann Arbor with his husband, Matthew, a pediatrician. Dr. Hazle enjoys staying active, traveling to new places, and cooking in his free time. His favorite vacation destination is New York City. A fun fact about him is that his hometown (Hodgenville, KY) is the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln.
After graduating, Dr. Hazle worked in a public health clinic, eventually becoming the dental director of a clinic in Louisville, Kentucky. This experience helped Dr. Hazle realize how much he enjoyed preventive health and working with children and families, so he returned to the University of Kentucky for a pediatric dental residency. While in residence, Dr. Hazle researched different types of beverages and their effect on children's teeth.
Dr. Hazle is also an active member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Adrienne Smith was born and raised in Grand Haven, MI. She graduated from Hope College where she studied French and Biology and studied abroad for a semester in Nantes, France. Her journey in pediatric dentistry began as an employee at a summer camp, specifically helping provide dental care to children with special needs in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. She then took her passion for pediatric oral health to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA where she was involved in creating a dental desensitization program for children with autism.
Some of Dr. Smith’s favorite things to do are staying active, being outside, reading and doing the NYT crossword in her free time. Another passion of Dr. Smith’s is admiring cute dogs, she grew up with pugs!
During dental school, Dr. Smith became a licensed hygienist and worked at a pediatric clinic in
Lynn, MA in the midst of the pandemic. This experience solidified her future working with kids, and she went on to complete a comprehensive and rigorous residency training at the Children’s Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
Dr. Smith is an active member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Ranya Al-Hadidi grew up in West Bloomfield, Michigan, and attended The University of Detroit Mercy, where she received a bachelor's degree in biology and graduated with high honors. She then attended The University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. In her spare time, Dr. Al-Hadidi enjoys spending time with her friends and family, including her husband, Bashir, and daughter, Eleen. She also loves to travel, paint, and work out.
As a dental student, she was inducted into the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. She was awarded the Clinical Pediatric Dentistry award. Following dental school, Dr. Al-Hadidi completed an additional two and half years of training at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, culminating with her Certificate and Master of Science degree in Pediatric Dentistry. She completed her thesis on" The Effectiveness of Silver Diamine Fluoride as a Treatment for Caries in Comparison to Traditional Restorative Techniques: A 12 Month Randomized Controlled Trial".
Dr. Al-Hadidi is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the Michigan Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Bedi hails from Spring Hill, Florida. Growing up along the Weeki Wachee River, she has had to learn how to dodge an alligator or two! After spending most of her adult life in Florida, Dr. Bedi moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan, to continue her dental education by becoming a Board-Certified specialist in Orthodontics.
Dr. Bedi fell in love with Ann Arbor (who wouldn't!), and following graduation, Ann Arbor became home. She has served southeast Michigan for more than a decade. Dr. Bedi serves on the Michigan Board of Orthodontics and is a guest lecturer to orthodontic residents. Dr. Bedi is an avid sports fan (Go Gators! Go Blue!). She also enjoys traveling, skiing, and playing tennis with her three children and husband. Most of all, Dr. Bedi loves watching a smile transform. There is no better feeling than seeing her patients' beaming smiles at the end of treatment.
